e-asTTle Term 4 Peak Period – November 2024

Published on Monday October 14, 2024

e-asTTle is expected to have an increased volume of users during the Term 4 peak period, particularly during Weeks 3-7 (Monday 28th October - Friday 29th November).

To ensure a smooth testing period, stagger the administration of assessments by class groups within your school and avoid administering tests to more than 100 students at a time. This will help to reduce stress on your school's bandwidth, and the performance of the tool itself.

Ensure that students have their login information prepared to avoid having to reset passwords.

You can also administer paper-based assessments where appropriate.

We are confident that e-asTTle will operate effectively for teachers and students during this period due to recent technical enhancements, so feel free to schedule your assessments at a time that suits you. We will be monitoring system performance throughout the busy period and will provide further updates to users if necessary.

e-asTTle and the Minister's intentions for assessment and aromatawai

Earlier this year, the Minister of Education outlined the government’s priorities for education, including a shift towards smarter assessment and reporting by implementing consistent modes of monitoring student progress and achievement.

This priority has driven our shift towards developing a consistent, coherent system for assessment and aromatawai, and the encouraged use of e-asTTle.

Along with other assessment and aromatawai tools, e-asTTle is undergoing enhancements to support this shift. Information regarding these changes to e-asTTle will be shared soon.
