This online tutorial provides information on writing moderation for teachers and school management teams. It was written originally to support the writing assessment in asTTle v4, but will be equally relevant to e-asTTle writing assessment. Moreover, the principles of moderation apply to writing assessment in general. The information includes: the process for moderation of writing, how to ensure consistent assessment decisions between markers, and how to have confidence in the accuracy of the results.
