The TKI NCEA website provides resources to support internally assessed Achievement standards. These are level 1, level 2, and level 3 achievement standards aligned with The New Zealand Curriculum (2007).
These resources are guides to effective assessment and should not be used as actual assessment.
These are publicly available resources so educational providers (including teachers and schools) must modify them to ensure that student work is authentic.
Teachers will need to set a different context or topic to be investigated; identify different texts to read or perform; or change figures, measurements, or data sources to ensure that students are demonstrating that they can apply what they know and can do.
Assessment resources for the current internally assessed standards are found in the Resources for internally assessed achievement standards section, which is accessible from the left hand menu and from the picture box shown here. The resources provide a variety of contexts for assessment for each internally assessed standard. Teachers can adapt these contexts or develop their own.
The Resources for internally assessed achievement standards page contains a list of all curriculum areas and their relevant component subjects. By clicking from either the left hand menu or from the subject box on this landing page, you will arrive at the resources for each specific subject. From here you can choose the level of resources you're looking for, for example, English level 2.
Achievement standards derived from Te Marautanga o Aotearoa and their related assessment resources are published on Taumata-Mātauranga-ā-Motu-Ka-Taea.
The Related Resources box on each of the subject pages, by level, contains the subject matrix and the conditions of assessment for each level. There is also a link to the teaching and learning guide.
The Performance standards for New Zealand Scholarship are found via the New Zealand Scholarship link in the left-hand navigation column.
Additionally, links to The New Zealand Curriculum, the Secondary Education Portal, and the NZQA site can be found in the Related sites box on the right-hand side of each page of NCEA on TKI.
